This work is an original photo-montage of the artist’s own photographs of the Halivourgiki Steel Factory on the Sacred Way, Eleusis, Greece. These images have been spliced with archival images of the Piranese Temple of Neptune in Paestum, Italy. The artist is curious about the passage of history on ancient sites. From a sacred religious locality to the site of industry and then post-industrial decay.

Poemcom Music Children

Letraset and vinyl transfers, gouache on turned mahogany cone, electric motor

£28,800 (inc VAT)

This piece of the Artist’s automata work reads ‘Music Children Make as They Fall’. The House of Fairy Tales often use automata in our exhibitions and this is a classic metaphor for the playful, imaginative space that is so vital to a healthy childhood. Tex is from poem by Leonard D Marshall. In her text works the artist wants wordsto be interchangeable with colour. Whether she works with a poet’s words or her own text, she wants the words to float into the viewers mind like in continually changing sequences. Meaning, like a river, is always in flux.
